Achievements of Capetown AOA during Covid-19 Pandemic
Cape Town Cares Initiative (2020):
During the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic, Capetown AOA launched the Cape Town Cares initiative to support frontline Corona warriors and society staff. Residents, including the office bearers of AOA, contributed a total of ₹1,10,177, of which ₹1,10,385 was utilized for relief activities.
On 03.05.2020, AOA, residents, and volunteers collectively expressed gratitude towards the tireless service, bravery, and compassion of the Noida Police by showering flower petals and raising slogans in their honor. The event was graced by ADCP Noida, Sector Magistrate, ACP III and several police personnel.
On this occasion, AOA:
Distributed 200 Dry Grocery Kits and Face Masks to security, housekeeping, horticulture, and maintenance staff.
Acknowledged the dedication of these frontline staff in ensuring society’s well-being during the crisis.
Donated 50 cans of sanitizers to the police department for safeguarding their personnel.
Isolation Ward with Oxygen Beds (2021):
In response to the devastating second wave of Covid-19, following the appeal of CEO, Noida (03.05.2021), Capetown AOA rose to the occasion by setting up an Isolation Center in Club 1 to save precious lives within the community.
The facility was equipped with:
Oxygen Cylinders (50 Ltrs each)
24x7 Nursing Staff
Emergency support for residents struggling to get hospital admission or oxygen supply during acute shortages.
This initiative of AOA stood as a lifeline for Capetown residents, reflecting the society’s spirit of unity, compassion, and resilience during one of the toughest times in recent history.
